Lamar: The Fallout (Part 2)

The CFMA Program Committee would like to thank you for attending CFMA's first of three sessions on an "Anatomy of a Construction Company Collapse."  We would also like to extend a special thank you to those who responded to the survey.  The CFMA Program Committee appreciated your comments and is using your feedback to tailor the next two sessions to meet your needs.

The survey conveyed that you want more details on the collapse of Lamar Construction Company.  Due to ongoing litigation, there is a protective order on many of the details including the financial information, specific to the Lamar situation.

We will start the second of three sessions with a timeline and overview of events that led to Lamar Construction Company's collapse. The balance of the meeting will focus on lawsuits that resulted against individuals affiliated with Lamar Construction Company based on the Michigan Builders Trust Fund Act, and the role of Directors & Officers insurance coverage in those situations.

Please join us for this 2nd meeting in a series entitled Lamar: The Fallout.

The topic for this meeting is How To Protect You and Your Company.

Our speakers are:

Mark Rysberg (an attorney with Hilger Hammond) on the Builders Trust Act

Tracy Jurusik (with Willis) discussing the types of protection offered by the various types of insurance to officers & finance personnel.
