Eastern Maine Medical Center Modernization Project is expected to open its first phase by the end of March 2016. The 8 story, 350,000 SF addition includes a 32-bed cardiac telemetry unit, a 29-bed neonatal intensive care unit, a new entrance, lobby, gift shop, and a new dining area. The second phase is expected to open in late 2017 and will include 14 new operating rooms, a new post-anesthesia recovery room and a renovated labor and delivery unit.

Patricia L Peaslee, Senior Accountant, BBSC CPAs
Patty has several years experience in construction accounting, both in the private sector and as a senior accountant with BBSC, CPAs, where her primary focus is her work with the firm’s construction clientele. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University in Nashville, Tennessee, and is currently pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Maine in Orono.
Patty is a retired Army wife and mother of four. In addition to her role as Membership Committee Chair for the Maine Chapter of CFMA, she is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine, Treasurer of the Brewer Economic Development Corporation, and Treasurer of Orrington Cub Scout Pack #44. In her free time, Patty enjoys reading, watching movies, and a spending time with friends and family.
Justin Freeman, CPA, Senior Accountant, BBSC CPAs
Justin is a Senior Accountant at BBSC CPA’s with seven years of experience in public accounting. He works with individuals, corporations, partnerships and non-profits, both advising on and preparation of their tax returns. He is involved with clients in a variety of different industries from retail to construction and service industries with revenues ranging from less than one hundred thousand dollars to clients with more than one hundred million dollars in revenue. He is also experienced with reviewed and compiled financial statements and is a former QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Justin earned his BS in Accounting in 2008 and his MS in Accounting in 2009, both from the University of Maine, and is a member of the AICPA. He currently serves as treasurer for Camp Capella in Dedham, Maine, and in his free time he enjoys traveling with his wife and friends, as well as, campfires in his backyard, game nights, discussing current events and politics, and attempting to play golf.
