I would like to get feedback to see how soon after an employee starts with your organization that their benefits begin.
Our current wait is 90 days but am interested to see what the wait period is with other organizations .

    Thanks in advance!

Health Insurance first of the month following 30 days,  departures also receive insurance through the end of the month.  Disability insurance 12 months.  Profit Sharing retirement program requires be working at the start of the year and end of the year with at least 1,000 hours; so not a specific wait time .

We offer our benefits after 60 days regarding any company provided benefits.  Optional Medical, Dental & Vision coverage is effective the fist of the month after the 60 day period.  When Obama Care became effective the guidelines regarding when we are required to offer medical coverage changed to "less than 90 days".  So the first of the month after 60 days is compliant.  Hope this helps.

We had been the 1st of the month after 30days of employment but continued to have locations requesting exceptions, so we now allow entry on the 1st of the month following the date of employment.

All employees are eligible to elect health, dental, STD, LTD, life on first day of hire.  Those benefits end on day of termination.

They can start contributing to 401K on first day, and ER match starts immediately.

New employees start accruing PTO at a 10 day/yr run rate immediately and can go negative on PTO up to 40 hours as long as they have the ability to make the accrual up in the year (we do have them sign documents saying they need to pay back any negative PTO if they leave)
