We switched from Quickbooks to Jonas Premier a year ago are very unhappy with it.  We are starting the process to select a new software package.  We are a subcontractor with 90 employees.  I'd like to hear from anyone who can suggest a better solution to migrate to.

    Thank you!

    Hi Patricia,

Thanks for your inquiry regarding Construction Accounting Software. This can be a daunting task, and I appreciate your concern in finding the right, long-term product for your company..

Foundation Software is geared towards specialty trade contractors looking for strong payroll, job costing, AIA billing, project management, and more.

That being said, we understand that our program may not be a perfect fit for contractors as I described above. Seeing an in depth presentation from Foundation, as well as looking at other construction specific accounting programs is certainly the best route to go for your company. Sometimes that means looking at the program you are currently utilizing and evaluating if it can fit your needs with additional setup or training.

If you would like to learn more about Foundation, please feel free to contact us at 800-246-0800 and ask for anyone in sales. They will take time to ask questions about your company and learn if your needs can truly be facilitated by Foundation Software. If the fit is there, we can do a more thorough live presentation to further evaluate your needs.

Also, please visit our website at FOUNDATION® Construction Accounting Software to view a free online demonstration. It is a great way to learn more about our company as well as our product.

Good luck with your search! I am confident you will find a solution that works well for you in the end.

I have a colleague who knows Corecon and its integration with SAP Business One that would be a good fit for your company.  Feel free to message me if you would consider a demonstration.  SAP Business One is a complete ERP system, and Corecon is an integrated App that provides a complete construction suite of features that is customized to almost any specialty construction subcontractor.

    Good morning Patricia,

Have you considered Vista by Viewpoint?  Our clients include subcontractors and this might be a potential fit for you or at least worth taking a look at to see if it might be a better solution.  Our company is an official "Viewpoint Integration Partner" so please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to set up a demonstration.  We just started working with some NY client(s) and we have knowledge of "local 3 reporting and other union payroll reporting needs.

We also have a mobile connectivity solution available to support your field reporting into HQ by converting paper forms to electronic ones and we do SQL integration and report writing.

    Thank you for your consideration.
