Keystyle

Saw a demo on Keystyle by Viewpoint.  We are looking for daily time and units completed, to come directly from the field. We are a GC, with 3 divisions and over 300 employees. Does anyone have experience with Keystyle, before or after Viewpoint purchased ? Per the sales rep, Keystyle is ready to work with Vista.

    thanks

    Steve,

I setup Keystyle for a client that went live 1/1/2018.  We setup field time and units reporting.  We even created customized lookups in Vista that work in Keystyle to allow the field to only see phase codes with a labor cost type added.  Using Keystyle your field crews and the office can have realtime access to productivity analysis.  Here is an example report that can be pulled by the field as soon as they save their time and units.  This does not need to wait for payroll processing (or week end, month end or interfacing like some software programs).

If you wish to take it a step further this labor productivity could be visualized in Power BI in many methods such as on a map to see labor productivity by area, etc.

I can't speak to how Keystyle is after the Viewpoint acquisition. However, before they were acquired by Viewpoint, Keystyle was very responsive.  Sometimes answering support requests after hours.  I few years ago, I made a suggestion at their booth at the Viewpoint User Group and within a week or so they had it in their software.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

We use Keystyle Data, have been using it for a couple of years now.  We use it for a/p invoice approval, time collection, benefits administration, and employee onboarding.  We are an Electrical contractor so we go through onboarding constantly, this has been a tremendous time-saver.

They were always very responsive prior to the acquisition.  I haven't much need to contact them since the acquisition, so I can't speak to that.

We have experience with Keystyle both before and after Viewpoint purchasing Keystyle.  We have been happy with the product and service and continue to implement more features in addition to the timekeeping and unit completion.

    Hi All,

I'm following this thread and have some questions. How is the data brought over to Vista? Do you have to import it or is it connected directly to the database? Are you all using Vista on the cloud?

    Thanks in advance!

    Katie,

Keystyle reads/writes data directly to the SQL database. Keystyle is running on a web server with access to the SQL database. This works with an on-premise install as long as the firewall is configured correctly.

In the example report link that I posted earlier in this discussion, the field supervisor can enter time directly into the SQL database from the field using Keystyle and then runs a report that combines the unposted time that was just entered with posted job to date time to give a real-time labor productivity report. This is an example of writing and reading the data from the SQL database from the field. The time entered from the field sits in an open payroll batch, that can be posted as soon as the field is finished entering the time. Keystyle does have a timecard review function that can be turned on to prevent posting until the appropriate reviewers have approved the time, but there is no importing data required.

Keystyle is a user interface -- it works with Vista data directly, no need for import/export.  We are not using the cloud version of Vista, although at some point in the future we may switch.
