I'm interested in learning about other's experience using E-verify (positive and negative).  We are not required at this time and we are looking to  be better informed - thank you

I think e-verify is fairly easy to use. They did make us go through a long tutorial at the beginning and when they had a major update.  We've been using it since almost the beginning of it's existence, and we are set up so new employees have the right documentation to verify the I-9.

We've been using e-verify since 2009 without incident.  The only irritation is that it takes hours to read through all the rules and regulations and complete the test before you can use it the first time.  Anyone except the government could probably explain all this in about half the words, but it does seem to work okay.  It's also surprising how quickly the positive responses come back, almost instantly.  The only negative response we have ever seen was because some piece of information got entered incorrectly.
