    We are in the process of selecting Viewpoint for our new software. Can anyone currently using Viewpoint share experience on the implimentation process? Another concern is making sure everyone uses it to its fullest potential. If everyone isn't diligent about using it will become useless. Any insight would be appreciated.

    We converted about 2 years ago. Proper planning and set-up is key to the system working for you. There will be a number of decisions you will need to consider and make on how to set things up. Take your time and discuss thoroughly with your consultants. Implementation will require significant staff time, but do not rush things. It took us 7 months to implement the basic job cost/ accounting, but overall it went pretty smoothly. However, my controller and staff put in a lot of time/ week-ends.We did not convert data, as we determined it was not worth the time and expense.

    Hello Jenifer,

    I have been implementing Viewpoint with customers for the last 8 years.  I have seen just about every situation out there.  If you have questions or would like to discuss lessons learned from other customers, I would love to chat. Proper planning and the right tools are key in the process.  I can supply references on implementations that have went extremely well and you could talk to them regarding their lessons learned from a customer aspect.
