How do you handle PM projections for cost plus projects that have shared savings? It gets confusing for the PM's when they know they will only spend X$'s for a particular phase, but they can't release the remaining costs to profit b/c it will go back to the owner. For now I've created a cost type called "Potential Shared Savings" so they can see it separately by phase and in total by cost type.

    Thanks!

I would create a 'shared savings' phase code with a $0 budget and forecast all savings there. You can leave budget dollars in phase codes so you can see the savings for future estimating purposes. This method will have a $0 impact to budget numbers, but allow the PMs ro forecast each line item accurately and elimante the need to do regular internal change orders. You can then condition your report to show your % of the savings as addition potential profit/income.
