We have fully utilizing Foundation PO/Subcontract module for the past 4 or so years and it overall is a benefit to our accounting dept. and est. to complete for our PMs. We are a smaller company, thus the person that enters in Purchase Orders is also the A/P person. It really is a big help that the unfilled PO will be recorded as a committed cost as well as eliminating duplicate entry from another program.
My only gripe with the module is when recording a subcontractor po for a flat $$ amount. We know that our subcontractors progress bill, but never know for how much and for how many billings. If we did know ahead of time, we can set up the PO to reflect that. But since we don't, you have to continuously update Foundation for these POs to get the outstanding amount correct after each subcontractor billing.
