    Accounts Receivable Job Duties:

    • Keep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
    • Prepare, verify and process Customer Monthly Invoices.
    • Process Customer Monthly Statements.
    • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits as needed.
    • Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting software.
    • Take customers calls with billing questions.
    • Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
    • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledge to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
    • Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
    • Collect on accounts by sending invoice reminders, communication with customers via phone, email, fax or mail.
    • Accountable for reducing delinquency for all customer accounts.
    • Issue PO’s.
    • Update various accounting related reports.
    • Assist with monthly closing.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Perform other tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
    • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Requirements

    • Proven working experience in accounts receivable department.
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
    • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
    • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
    • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks and Excel Experience Preferred).
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or related Accounting Experience.
