I am looking for a Project Accountant. Garmong is a great company that is growing in both headcount and revenue. We are a +-$100m General Contractor and Construction Manager and we self-perform Carpentry, Concrete and General Labor as a union shop. Headquartered in Terre Haute, Indiana, we have additional offices in Indianapolis and Evansville. Our core business is Healthcare, Education (both K-12 and Higher Ed), and Industrial; however, we build and manage across the spectrum of commercial construction, including parking garages, hotels, restaurants, general office, among many others.
This position would report directly to the CFO and be responsible for all job cost accounting for several Project Managers. We run Vista by Viewpoint as our ERP and take a progressive focus on utilizing Vista to streamline all areas of our business. Strong knowledge of Vista is a requirement. Project Accountants are truly the PM's accountant and work closely with PMs through all stages of their jobs.
I believe a core function of my role as CFO is to drive efficiency and effectiveness of my team so we can better the company. To that end, the Project Accountant will have opportunities to better themselves and the company as a whole by identifying ways to improve and then work with me to experiment and deploy effective new measures.
